Moving Right along!

Dsc00986 Well the lace is done and I’m very happy with it! I think it fits pretty good. I could have stood for it to be a bit tighter, since the fabric is supposed to stretch. I did use one less decrease because I don’t want it to be too loose.
Here it is now. I just have to do the purl rows and then bind off. After I bind off I”m going to try it on again. YIPPEE! Then off to the sleeves. I was planning on doing short sleeves, but I have 2 full skeins of the plain silk left! So as not to waste it, I think I’ll make it long sleeved.  Though I think I’m going to make the bell sleeves a little smaller, I don’t want them real big.

I spent much of the day yesterday sitting outside enjoying the late summer day and knitting.  I was sort of sad thinking this is probably about the last day to sit out in shorts and a t-shirt and knit.  I love to sit out on my deck and enjoy the weather!  Today the weather is changing it keeps getting darker and darker.  A colf front is supposed to be coming through, it was about 76 earlier and is supposed to drop to 60 for a high tomorrow. It will get me in the mood for fall knitting!

I have recently ordered some Socks that Rock yarn, in Highway 30 and Scottish Highlands.  They arrived today, yummy.  I haven’t knit any socks yet and am feeling the urge!  I signed up for Lolly’s socktoberfest and am trying to hold off casting on until then.  Plus I told myself that I have to finish my SKB before I cast on anything new! We’ll see how that goes.  Aside from the fact that I have like 10 other projects already started!  I really should finish a few others!
